This program is intended to accelerate the development of advanced materials in Qu\u00e9bec, as well as to contribute to the establishment of collaborations between industry and the research community (universities or CCTTs or public research centres) in order to support the advent of innovative solutions that offer practical answers to major industrial challenges in terms of GHG emission reductions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Projects eligible for the INNOV-R program must:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate a strong potential to reduce GHG emissions in Qu\u00e9bec, at least 100,000 tonnes of CO2 eq. reduced or avoided during the first ten (10) years after the product, technology or innovation is commercialized;<\/li>\n<li>Relate to the development of a new product or process or to the significant improvement of an existing product or process;<\/li>\n<li>Be innovative, involve technological uncertainties and have R&amp;D steps to complete.<\/li>\n<li>Must not have previously been funded by another funding program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants may benefit from non-repayable financial assistance to complete and validate their calculations of avoided GHGs. Please contact your RSRI for more information.<br \/>Financial assistance for projects cannot be combined with other financial assistance from the CECF, Investissement Qu\u00e9bec or the MEIE.<\/p>\n<p>The main applicant must be an Institut de recherche public du Qu\u00e9bec (IRPQ), i.e. a university, a college centre for technology transfer (CCTT) or a public research centre established in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p>Projects must involve at least one company or NPO established in Qu\u00e9bec, carrying out <u>internal<\/u> production or research and development activities there. Other partners such as Crown corporations, public agencies, municipalities, companies outside Quebec and others can also get involved in the project as a second industrial
